Okunomatsu Nihon-Matsu Gentei Junmai Sake (Shinbun-Maki) is a sake that is only sold in NihonMatsu, Fukushima Prefecture.

Wrapped in Shinbun (Newspaper), it has a pleasant fruity aroma reminiscent of Banana, Pear and White flowers, with flavours of Melon, Yoghurt, Strawberry and a touch of acidity reminiscent of Lemon Peel. Best enjoyed chilled.

We had the opportunity to try is and it's a very aromatic sake, tasty on the palate and with pair with most food!

If you have tried our Shinbun no Sake Daiginjo, you should get this as well! Both are different in taste profiles. This is a Junmai-shu and the other was a Daiginjo!
